Metal Halide
Metal halide lamps provide primarily Violet 380-430nm, Blue 430-490nm and Green 490-570nm color spectrum for vegetative plant growth and are available in universal, base up and horizontal operating position orientations. Alternate or interchange with Conversion HPS lamps during budding and flowering stages for maximum performance. Always operate metal halide lamps in a fixture with a tempered glass lens for UL listing and safety precautions.
- HPS
High pressure sodium lamps produce high lumens and provide primarily Yellow 570-590 (nm), Orange 590-630 (nm) and Red 630-750 (nm) colour spectrum for the plants budding and flowering stages. Alternate or interchange with Metal Halide Conversion lamps during the vegetative growth stage for maximum performance.
- Fluorescent
Fluorescent lamps are excellent for starting seedlings and for low light intensity plants. Position directly above the plant in small growing areas. Flourescent lamps lack the light intensity to function as a complete lighting system.
